What we collect, in plain English
Pawling Daily is a free community site. We don't run ads, we don't sell anything, and we don't sell or share your information.
Information you send us
If you fill in the business listing form or the suggestions form, we store what you typed, including an email address if you give one. It is used only to follow up about that submission or listing.
Accounts
Only site editors sign in. If you sign in, our login provider stores your email address so we can recognise you. Regular readers never need an account.
Outside services
Pages pull live data from third parties such as the MTA for train times, mapping and weather providers, and OpenStreetMap for trails. Those requests happen on our server, not in your browser, so those services don't see you.
Tracking
No advertising cookies and no tracking pixels. We only keep basic, anonymous counts of how many people visit a page.
Removing your information
Want a listing or a submission deleted? Ask through the suggestions page and we'll remove it.
