Kane House Museum

The Kane House Museum is operated by the Pawling Historical Society. It focuses on the history of Pawling and the surrounding area. George Washington used the house as his headquarters in 1778.

Visitors often comment on the detailed and engaging exhibits. They appreciate the effort put into the displays, offering much to see in a small space. The museum is currently updating its exhibits to present a new vision of Pawling's history.

The museum is at 126 E Main St, Pawling, NY. It is open on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, typically from May to October, or by appointment year-round. You can call to make an appointment.
